The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the Church’s time-honored path to becoming Catholic — a journey of learning, prayer, and friendship walked in the company of others who are seeking the same. Anyone is welcome to come, whatever your background or beliefs. There is no obligation and no cost; come, ask your questions, and see where God may be leading you.

Who OCIA Is For

• ✦Those who have never been baptized and wish to become Catholic.
• ✦Baptized Christians of other traditions who seek full communion with the Catholic Church.
• ✦Baptized Catholics who have not yet received all the Sacraments of Initiation — Confirmation and the Holy Eucharist.
• ✦Fully initiated Catholics who simply desire to go deeper in their faith.

When We Gather

We meet on Tuesday evenings:

A Year of Prayer — for Everyone

On the first Tuesday of each month, our topic is Prayer — an ongoing nine-part series open to anyone in the parish. This series is our principal adult catechesis for the whole parish this year, and all are warmly encouraged to attend, whether or not you are part of OCIA.
